I know some of the design tools which are very common for around of us. However, I can just use the few of them, such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Indesign, Adobe Illustrator, Sketchup and Artlantis. Most of them were learned at my high school, and my best design tools are Adobe Photoshop and SketchUp because when I used the other Adobe tools, It was very different when compared with Adobe Photoshop.
I learned the Sketchup at DVC(Design visual Communication) which is like architecture subject. When I used the Sketchup for the first time, it was very cool and wonderful because I could make it at 3D using my computer and can print it using the 3D printer. However, every day, the new skills are hard to lean. .
I just surprised about learning Sketchup step by step as well. However, it was hard to use in my daily life because there were no lessons to make it by 3D without a 3D printer. So, I used it for school works only. I could try to do the scholarship but it was hard to do with another design subject, So I give up. If I was an Architect at the University of Auckland this tools might be very helpful. The architecture was my first dream. It begins from my DVC wih 3D modeling. However, I knew that architect is not only subject using design, so I will continue to use Sketchup.
My Building was art gallery.This board made to present my building. so, I used the screen shot and take the view of my inside and outside of building.
I learned the Adobe Photoshop at ADG when I was year 11. I learned the camera technically too but it was not fit on me as well. However, Photoshop was different. It made me move on. So, I chose the subject in year 12 and 13 again, and the subject changed like ADE. The good thing was I do not need to use the Camera anymore, the bad thing was there were a lot of works to do more than last year and finished those by a year. However, It was a great challenge for myself and I feel this design tool is very useful because I can use it in many ways.
This is my final board from last year. My topic was green urban so, I used some image of Auckland city and environment. Main colour is green.
