I do not know what I want to do when I came to New Zealand. I just studied as same as other students around me until year 10. However, when I meet the two design subjects: DVC and ADE. I choose what I want to do in the future. It was architecture because I learned the 3D technique from this subject which I interested most. However, it was hard to do. My idea was limited to build the building. Therefore, I just walk around until I graduate the High school.
This year I find what I want to do. It was hard to choose because this year I was going to university. The thing that I want to do is design, and then I choose the design major this year. I do not know how I am growing as a designer but I feel I’m going on the right track because of architecture and design are starting from a similar point. So, I’m growing little by little like a designer that I want to be. I’m interested in industrial design, graphic design and gaming design. I started the design subject to make my own furniture, so I interest in industrial design and graphic design. Also, I like to play computer and mobile games, such as league of legend, clash of clans and some other my home country’s game. However, I dislike somethings when I play games, such as game system, character, etc. it makes me feel to make my own games in the future.
The great designer is can answer from the question "why" for the every stage of the design process (Lee, 2018). This question gives the feedback and develop more from previous design. However, I'm cannot answer the all of the question "why" yet. I need some more experience and need some more knowledge.
Therefore, In the 5 years, I want to graduate my university, and if I have more money or time, I want to visit another country that famous on a design or do another major, because there are many ways that people can do, and nowadays, people can possible to get the many jobs. I saw the many designers get multiple jobs. So, I want to be like them. The dreams can change in a few years, but I want to get multiple jobs and one of them has to be a creative job.
The first thing that I have to do is get a great experience during university and learn some great skills in design, and level up my English skills because these are very useful in future. Therefore, this year(2020) is important to me.
